• High security lock sets, for doors and boot lid
• Steering column lock
• Spare wheel, mounted inside the boot
• Remote locking fuel filler cap connected to central locking
• Child Locks

The Ikon's structure has been designed scientifically to absorb crash energy. Added to it are structural reinforcements that provide high levels of protection for occupants.

Supplementary safety features for improved occupant protection include:

• Soft-feel steering wheel rim to reduce head injuries on impact
• Collapsible steering column to reduce intrusion distance
• Front seat belt "grabbers" to prevent uncontrolled movement during impact
• "Anti-submarine" seats to prevent occupants from slipping between seats and lap strap in frontal impacts
• Seatbelts for all occupants
