General Electronic Module (GEM)

Imagine ‘GEM’ (Generic Electronic Module) as a super computer that controls engine diagnostics and several other functions of the car. GEM sensors control and monitor all critical functions that have otherwise had several separate modules controlling them in the past.
  • Theatre Dimming & Illuminated Entry interior lighting
  • Central Locking (key only)

  • Electrically operated fuel filler door (Attached to Central Locking)
  • Electrically operated deck lid via IP switch (deck lid also operated by remote on SXI)

Power Control Module (PCM)

A newly designed PCM is standard in Fiesta for improved refinement, lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions.
PCM features include:
  • Electronic throttle control that ensures ideal fuel consumption
  • Advance charging system
  • Smart starting system that protects the starting motor
  • Latest on-board diagnostics
  • Advanced emission controls
 
Distance to empty meter (DTE)

The DTE displays the estimated distance the vehicle can travel before it runs out of fuel. This is displayed in the centrally mounted instrument cluster LCD and is displayed when the ignition is switched on or when the engine is running.
